I have a 1990 Notch and I'm in the process of replacing all the speakers. Which aftermarket speaker is a direct fit for the dash speaker? I've heard 3.5" is the correct size but when I searched crutchfield they only listed only one speaker that would fit the dash. I'd like more options, so if anyone has other suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

I made some baffles to fit the area and put the tweeter porton of a component set there and put the midrange part in the door.

Exactly what apex said. It is a 3.5" driver in the dash, but a VERY simple bracket can be made to mount a component tweeter in there. It's even easier since you won't have to seal the front/rear (automotive tweeters are almost all sealed chamber designs).

I will try to get a quick shot of the support for the tweeter and post it.
