I guess my other thread about this got deleted in the mess that happened, so i guess ill start it again.

Here are some pics http://community.webshots.com/user/captainspankme00 , i will be updating that regularly since all my pics even at lowest resolution setting are too big to post as attachments and im too lazy to resize them.

Got the carb finished and moded for blowthrough today. Also started polishing on the turbos, needs a few more hours of elbow grease though.

Have a couple of things suppose to get to me tomorrow including headman shorties that i hear fit flipped around in a classic, gauges, some SS braided line, and some other goodies

Also guys visit my cardomain site http://members.cardomain.com/stangman6816 , give me some kickass ratings or something :rlaugh:

They fit just fine that way in my 68. I did have to remove the bracket bolted to the motor mounts that holds the power steering hoses. Also you will need to remove and modify the oil sending unit which is no big deal because you would have to do it anyway for your feed. It's too long and hits the collector. Mechanical fuel pump might give you some problems but you really should run an electric with the turbos anyway. Also you need a remote oil filter. I moved my alternator to drivers side because I wanted to mount it higher and give more room for the pipes. The upper rad hose wouldn't let me postion it where I wanted on the passenger side. If you have ac and or power steering you might have to work some magic with your hot side pipes.

I cut the flange off the collector and welded a 2 1/2 inch mandral bend directly to the collector and the have the pipe go straight up to my t3 flange. The compressor inlet is facing the radiator support. I bought two volvo wastegate housings because the downpipe goes straight out not like ford 90 degree elbow. Supposedly the volvos don't flow as well but it's a street car and I don't need every bit of horsepower. My downpipe goes right above the valve cover and then exits where the manifolds normally go.

I am going to fab an upper plenum (I'm going efi) with dual throttle bodies on either side of the distributor. No intercooler for now but when I do I will run 2 seperate ic's one for each bank. If you have any questions let me know.

at the bottom of the main classic mustangs forum page there is an option to show threads that have only been posted recently...
the default is 1 day
change it to a week and you'll find your other thread

*nevermind, saw about the server crash

some pics for yal...

1. Boost referenced carter fuel pump.

2. Carb modded for blowthrough and my carb bonnet. I really need to take off the carb and paint the mainbody, it looks like ass when next to the pretty bowls and metering plates...

more

1. Main body of my holley 600dp carb. Choke horn is gone, doesn't look too bad for a hacksaw and dremel job :rlaugh:

2. Compressor side of one of the t3's. I've spent a couple hours on this one polishing, should look pretty good with a few more...

yadda yadda

1. Greddy A/F gauge and datalink. Got this off ebay, strait from japan. Not one thing in the box is in english. This is about the only thing i could find that had acual numbers (not that rich/lean/stoich crap) other than a wideband unit.

2. hot side of the turbo, got the good ones with .63 a/r. That paint prolly wont last too long, but it looks good now.

Having trouble getting the headers to fit. I am really wanting to flip them up instead of down if at all possible. Driver side fits perfect, royal pita on the passenger side. If it comes down to it i can build a log style header to fit, but thats the last resort.

Yeah the passenger side won't fit pointing up. Why do you want them to be upside down? Is it because all the stuff on the driverside will have to be moved if they point down?

that's what i did for my single turbo '68 project. i tried flipping the headmans, but they didn't work for me.
here's some pics of them: http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34107

Did you try them facing forward and down? Or did you try them upside down so the collector is above the engine? I am just curious because I had at some point planned on running a 351 in my 68. If they don't fit going forward and down then I had better start saving for a Dart sportsman block.

They do fit flipped down, and I may end up doing that. The oil pressure sender has to be taken off. It has to be modified anyway to feed the turbos and I have a new oil pressure gauge im going to install. A 90* oil filter adapter thing or remote filter would probably be a good idea too since the header comes pretty darn close to the filter. I doubt They would fit with a 351 though, Its pretty tight with my 302.

Hi,Taylor what headers are you going to use???? I have just been collecting parts for my setup but I was going to use late model 5.0 stock headers. Where are you puttingthe intercooler/s ??? Thanks

I'm obviously not taylor but I can tell you I am using Hedman shorties. IIRC pn 88400. I switched sides and am facing them forward and down. I know someone else tried the 5.0 shorties and had to beat the crap out of them to get them to fit. The shock towers are just too narrow to get the 5.0 headers to fit.

Yeah im using headmans as well. I had a pair of BBK's for a fox that i got in a deal and they weren't even close to fitting. I'm not exactly sure how I am going to do the cold side piping. Intercooler will be mounted in the front. I have an intercooler pretty much identical to this one : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=7966840709&rd=1 . I have heard pretty decent things about these cheapo ebay ones so im gonna give one a shot. I might get a guy to weld a new tank on the top, so the turbo can enter from each side and go to the carb from the top. That should simplify the cold side a little bit.

I have solution for you. This guy is single turbo his V8 GS400. I think that mustang V8 can run similar set up as well. This wil keep the header in stock position. and by go single turbo. Less oil and water line need to be run, less part need, one turbo one wastegate.

Where you plan to put the turbo?

This is pic of another guy who did the Turbo V8. Very interesting set up :nice: . I almost follow what he does but change my mind cause I don't want to move battery to the trunk.

Taylor did you modify your 4G63 as well. Eclipes or EVO.?
