twin turbos on 68 coupe (can't find old thread?)

I didn't mod any 4g63, i was dying for an eclipse a few years ago and created this name for dsm boards. Then i discovered mustangs, and came over here and used the same name.

Haven't had a chance to do much over the past lil bit, been very busy. I did find a good place locally to get mendral bent pipe for cheap. I still can't decide whether to go 2.25 or 2.5" pipe from headers to turbos. Any opinions over here?

A lil update. I was loosening the bolts on the housings to rotate them how i would like, and had one on the turbine side of one turbo break off, so i had to tear it down to get it to where I could drill it out. Turns out there was some broken stuff in there I will have to replace. Parts are gonna be like $50 though, so no big deal. Tore down the other to see if it had anything wrong and it was perfect.

Started working on the passenger side header with the very limited amount of pipe I had. I am using 14 gauge mild steel if anyone is wondering. I have decided to turn headers down to make things easier. Tomorrow I will go buy a buttload of pipe and assorted bends. Im going to redo all that wiring, i promise :D

Here is a picture of the broken stuff in the turbo.

Got alot done in the past 2 days. Got both header to turbo pipes done with flanges welded on. Also got both downpipes started, with the driver side almost done. Waiting on the intercooler to get here before i start with the cold side piping. Tomorrow I plan on getting the oil stuff done (run lines, weld drains into pan, etc.), and maybe finish up some wiring. Check out the link i posted at the top and look at the pics.

www.turbonetics.com has just about everything. Thankfully, the guy who sold me the turbos is a great guy. I emailed him and told him about 1 being broke, and he is sending me a center section he had.

Mounting hte intercooler is going to be interesting. Im thinking I might have to cut off part of the valance, maybe ditch the grill, who knows. With all the work i've done so far I will MAKE it fit.

More Pics of todays progress. Didn't work on oil lines or electrical stuff today, however I did FINISH the hot side. yayyy

Passenger side..

Here it is all mocked up. Turbo on passenger side is the broke one, I just threw it together to get it all together.

Alright so theres not much left to do on the turbos until the intercooler gets to me. I can't decide what kind of tubing to run on the cold side. All aluminum with silicone connectors. Or get some aluminum coated exhaust tubing and polish it. Any suggestions..?

Tomorrow I hope to make some gauge pods. I plan on making a rally pac type console on my steering column to mount a/f and boost. Then hopefully something in the middle of the dash to mount water temp and oil pressure. Lets see how my fiberglassing skills are.

Its one off of ebay. They are amazingly cheap, and every vendor has the exact same thing. Core size is 24x12x3. I believe they are usually around $200+some outrageous shipping charge. I found a guy who bought one and it didn't fit his car and was selling it, so i got it shipped to my door for like $150. I have heard alot of people on different forums say they are great intercoolers for the price.
