#1: today i noticed the dogbone on my rear end was damp, i had my gears done not to long ago, but i dont remember if it was damp or not when i got it back. is there any way for this to be damp from gear oil leaking out of the rear end? or do you think it is just still on there from when they changed the gears and got it on there, i havent driven it in the rain either so it wouldnt have washed off in any way. i know on my friends car his rediator was leaking an the anti freeze is still all over and it is still damp an he blew it months ago.
#2: when i was at a light on a hill i was in neutral a started to roll back a bit, when i did this i heard a loud high pitched squeal. i thought it might be my gears since i just got them done, but when i got home i pulled in my driveway an put it in reverse an tried to replicate it (it only does it while going backwards) an it kept doing it then it stuck an kept squealing. i got out of my car an looked at my rear end but it couldnt have been that because i wasnt moving, and it was quiet back there, i walked up to my engine an it was coming from there, i just changed my oil today so i dont know if that has something to do with it but it doesnt sound good and i dont know what it is. thanks
