Awesome work up in BC man, now it's time to really put the steam to it Derick ;)

I saw something on another board about video of the finals and a staging duel? Any truth to that?

Actually it was in the semis with Greg Henchel (sp?). I need to get the video downloaded but I'm not sure how to do it. I think Macy can do it for me. I will try and bring the wifes 06GT down to his dyno day this Saturday and see if he can post it.
I can't speak for Greg, but my side of the story is he came to me to ask which lane I wanted because I had lane choice. I told him I wanted the right lane because I had been running in it all day, even though I thought the left was a better lane (least oil downs for the weekend). Two hours later, after another oil down in the right lane and a nasty crash on the top end from a Canadian door slammer (racer ok), we were in the staging lanes. Eric P. came to me and said if it's not going to screw you up to bad I want you to run the left lane. If someone I race with on a regular basis and trust tells me to switch lanes then that's what I'll go with. It is still my right to change untill we stage. We did the burn outs and I pre staged first, then Greg. I timed it on the video and we sat there for 1 minute and 4 seconds. I finally went in first and Greg went in about 6 seconds later. My car spools really quick so I don't know if he was upset about the last minute lane change or he just wanted me to stage last because he thought it would give him a slight advantage? I give him credit though, Greg and his crew worked their butts off on the car that weekend and ran in the 7's with a 29x10.5 tire. I think they made some suspension changes thinking they were running in the left lane. Greg got crossed up coming out of the hole and I went on to the finals. FWIW I think the lanes were dead even. Video soon.
