I was just curious what you guys think about the new typhoon intake i just recieved today. Looks like people who have complained about casting flash got to the company and looks as though they did some porting on every runner opening to smooth it all out. I give it a I also need any information or vaccuum diagram which might help me with my install??? I know ive seen a site about installing this thing but forgot it. I also need to know if I should get a 65mm or 70mm(matches the intake opening) throttle body??? Mods in sig... This intake is going on 351w powerheads I have which have quite a larger opening that this typhoon intake... porting kit is on the way..

Merry X-Mas!!

The lower ports are identical to this..

I got it when it first came out and think its still the best intake out there for the money. car will rev faster and pull like a mofo from 3k and up, but you will trade off some lowend for it, despite this i still like it. t-body get a 70mm in my opinion works the best.

I love mine, it did have alot of casting flash in it though. Nothin an hour with the diegrinder didn't fix though. I ran my brake booster vac. line, FP line, and that other little vac. line to the back of the upper intake they provided 3 fittings that fit on it. Then the pvc line i put that on the bottom of the upper intake with the provided T fitting. The two holes by where the TB bolts to the intake i plugged with the little allen bolts they had with mine since i didn't know what they was for. I dunno if you understand what i said lol i don't have a diagram.

What ever you do dont get their throttle body. I have one on my car and its alread stuck open at full throttle twice. I dont put the pedal to the floor until I can buy an acufab TB.

89- i know exactly what you mean. thanx!

Black- The efi manifolds come in both. its about 100 more for the polished which i suggest cuz the finish on mine would take forever to polish up nice. I also didnt want a polished finish so it was good and looks clean.

Car- really?? i guess buying cheap parts only goes so far.. looks like ill have to save for an accufab..

Get- Ebay!

I bought the Typhoon intake off ebay, which should be here any day. Does it come with any gaskets? If not which ones will I need to get?

I'm pretty sure it'll have gaskets but if it doesn't, it use's the edelbrock performer or performer RPM gaskets. Can get those either jegs or summit i think.

Make sure to mock everything up & check port alignments. Mine was terrible. Fixed it with a die-grinder.

i love mine, the 70mm accufab t/b helped, and then i put on my 76mm maf and that helped again, you could feel the performance increase in sotp from both of those mods after having the intake on first.

You will need a fel pro 1250 or equivalent. It comes with the plenum gaskets but not the head to lower gasket. Only problem with mine was the alignment between the egr spacer and the opening to the intake. It is a little off but not much to worry about, next time the motor comes out I plan on porting it anyways. But I had to get the car running so it wasn't a big enough problem for me to hold the project up.
