Had mine for about a year now, works great even with stock heads! I noticed some serious power after I put mine on with a BBK 75mm throttle body. I had to do some porting of the throat to get the opening big enough for the 75, and I also hand polished all of the runners after I did a little port work on the runners. I just ordered my TFS heads on monday, gonna be here tomorrow, cant wait... But the Typhoon is a high-RPM piece, so dont buy it if you're paranoid about losing "low end torque" like a lot of whiners do on this site. I dont think I lost any, but I dont care anyways cuz I run the snot out of my car all the time

i agree, i love mine!! didnt feel like i lost any torque either and the car pulls good for what is done to it, which is just typical bolt-ons an e-cam and bone stock heads. my best so far is a 13.3 with only a 1.95 60' my new rear suspension should help that time a bit too. i am putting together a set of gt40-p heads and cant wait to feel the gains. the only thing is dont expect it to have the same cosmetic quality as a higher priced piece. but if you dont mind doing a little clean up work it is well worth saving a couple hundred bucks. but dont be afraid to run it how it comes. i put mine on as soon as i got it with no clean up until i put the heads on. i got mine shipped to my door from blueovalperformance.net for $310.00.

The casting isn't as pretty as a higher dollar intake. I bought the Standard Abrasives porting kit in Summit and cleaned it up myself. I also gasket matched to the heads which took some work, there was a lot of material to take away and smooth, in some areas there was no way I could make straighter portion of the runner match the gasket but I made sure it was a nice transition. So if you have time and not money go for the Typhoon.

Made 405rwhp with the typhoon, stock ported heads, stock cam, and 10psi of boost. For $300 bucks you can't go wrong!

Had mine for a while now and I love it. I did not fell any torque loss and definitely felt a lot of top-end pull.

Well they are cheap (made in china) you would be nuts to put one on without cleaning up the inside and runners as for mine had casting that would have came loose. Its also more intake than a stocker needs and if you measure it about 1 1/2 in. in from the TB its only 60mm area. (75mm TB lol). Take some advice and get a used cobra or gt40 intake. Because even with a mild cam swap you will stop making power before 5500 rpm. look @ those with dyno results and timeslips. for christ sakes my 89 gt stock (373`s) was @ 14.32@ 96 mph and its an AOD car. mph = hp so don`t listen to someone with many mods and a typhoon intake that tops out at 100mph. chances are the manifold is whats holding the hp down. but if you still want one I will sell you mine, and its been opened up in TB area and runners.

i've had mine for a year and a half.i lost little if any low end and it pulls much harder.i've got a b-cam and mild ported e7s.it's seems to work best with atleast a 70mm tb.

You are completely incorrect..I can and do make power RIGHT to 5800-6000 rpm...the Typhoon was a replacement for a Eddy RPM I had on the car..the difference was NOTHING..no gain/loss from the swap(but the Typhoon just LOOKS so much better in polished version). The intake will flow enough air for ANY N/A 302 set up...as will most any aftermarket intake available. The Typhoon would be a fine choice for any HCI car...as would the GT40, Eddy performer,Eddy RPM, and yes even the BBK.

Mine doesnt run out of steam until 5800 and runs 115 mph 1/4 mile. If I had the money to blow I would get the edelbrock but It was the last piece and I needed to get it on the road, so far I have been thrilled.

Your cam is not as mild as mine or a stocker, that will get you to 5800. hell mine seems like it pulls to 6000 but the dyno says 5350 and at the rpm range of a lightly moded motor you would be better off with a lower rpm manifold. I say put it on a dyno and see where your making power to, it may surprize you.
