I replaced the UCA and LCA on the passenger side of my car the other day. The bottom ball joint was shot and the upper cross shaft was broken. Used my new 19 buck spring compressor an dhad it all done in about two hours.
Problem is, I can't seem to get any grease into the cross shaft grease zircs. I just removed one to make sure grease would flow through it, and it does. Are the new UCA shafts so tightly sealed that when they are full of grease the pressure pushes the ball closed on the grease fitting, thus not allowing you squeeze the grease gun lever? On the driver's side one (next to be replaced) the grease goes right through it and out the back in a flat ribbon.
