Yeah, that's a pretty comprehensive list. Doesn't cover them all, but it got the major offenders.

Pacers, Gremlins, and the X-90 are their own kind of cool.

Don't get me wrong, the Pacer is still hideous, but it's almost gloriously so.

X-90s were almost 20 years ahead of their time, like the Edsel and Aztek.

Gremlins... I would love a 304 or 390 powered Gremlin with a stick, it'd be that same kind of blatant middle finger to cookie cutter cars when blasting down the strip on a Friday night that a Mustang II is, and we all know I love THOSE ugly ol' things.

Actually, yes, it was. The first vehicle that fits the "crossover/compact SUV" market. Still hideous, though, if 'groundbreaking.'

Very much so.

Car-based borderline useless off of pavement SUVs that look like hell are all the rage these days.

Don't believe me? Look at the Nissan Juke, Chevy Captiva, Chevy Trax, Kia Sportage (God the new one is fugly), Dodge Journey, Jeep Compass/Patriot, and so on.

The 2017+ Jeep Compass Trailhawk looks like it would be decent for light off-roading. It just needs good tires and a whole new transmission, you know, little things...

That's the Cherokee. (Hell, for all I know the new Compass moved to that platform too, but the outgoing model was still Caliber-based.)

Huh, they did move it to the Fiat platform for 2017 (haven't worked on a '17 yet), and discontinued the wholly redundant Patriot (though the Compass is pretty redundant now that it shares everything with the Renegade and Cherokee).

Yeah, nobody's really sure where the Compass is supposed to fit in their lineup. I do like the looks of it, and the TH version has better approach and departure angles than my XTrek, with a bit more room. I'll check one out whenever the time comes to replace my Subie, but that won't be for a couple of years, hopefully.

Not nearly as ugly as it is dangerous. I actually wanted one when they were new on the market...until I test-drove it.
