The other day, I was thinking about how well my old LX launched with the old school Southside Lift Bars I was running. So, I did a searched and found that a company, UMI Performance, is making their own version of the old SSM bars and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them. I'm VERY tempted to order them. Summit is a dealer too so I'm guessing that they're decent. They also make a nice set of uppers and full length subframes. Anyone using their stuff?

They are a very good bunch of guys and are local to me. I didn't know about them until after I had already done my suspension work so I don't have any of their components on my car. I'm personal friends with Brad there, so if you call them be sure to ask for him and tell him I mentioned him here. I wish for them and you that I could give you personal 1st hand experience with the actual product but since I don't have any of their parts I can't.

I bought a set of their basic LCA's @ Carlisle last year. Been running them for over a year with no issues. I recently installed a no-name set from "American-Muscle" on a buddy's car and the UMI's are way nicer!!! I have launched them numerous times on DR's from 5k with no wheel hop and the car goes straight....

Thanks guys. And thanks Canary for the honesty. I'm sure they make great stuff though. It definately looks that way. I'm gonna place the order as soon as I can.

My cousin and I installed these on his 94 about 4 years ago, and he's been very happy with them, I believe his best pass to date is somewhere in the upper 11s.

I just ordered a rebuild kit for my Southside bars from them, and the guy I talked to was very helpful and thankful for my order even. So far the customer service gets a huge from me. lol

Now I just hope FedEX doesn't let me down. I'd like to get these old bars of mine fixed up before we head to the track on Saturday.

Another thumbs up for UMI here. I've bought UCAs, LCAs, and torque box reinforcement plates from them in the past. Good products, service, and people.

Well, I didn't get the parts in time to go racing. They accidentally shipped me motor mounts for a G-Body. lol

But, I called and left a message for Brad, and they had the right parts pulled and shipped the next day. He apologized for the mistake, and left me with a good feeling about their customer service again. Got them last night, and it all looks great, can't wait to get the new bushings and pins in my control arms so the car doesn't ride like a dump truck anymore.
