I've heard a few people who have said that they unbolted their stock catbacks for sound. I have the stock catback and want something a bit throatier until I get my exhaust swapped. What exactly does "unbolting the catback" entail?

Thanks in advance.

all their doing is running the midpipe (stock H-pipe) and thats all kinda like the dump set up but no mufflers just the H-pipe. It does sound loud and some what throatie but eveyone has different opinions on this

Unless you're running a super high compression setup, wouldn't that kill the back pressure?
It will most likely be a lot louder than the "bit throatier" sound ur looking for.
