hey... So I was going to install my underdrive pullies but I'm thinking I'm gonna have some charging issues with my electric fan and stereo it pulls alot of power. I was wondering if I can just install the pully for my water pump and crank.. Will my car still run ok even though the pullys dont match I also have power steering but Ive never seen a pully for that... anways any input would be apperciated..
thanks

You can run just 1 of the underdrive's if you would like. It depends on whose pulleys you use. I believe Auto Specialties makes an underdrive P/S pulley.

I would suggest upgrading to new 130amp 3g alternator.. with a overdrive pulley.. if you can't do the alt. upgrade at least get a overdrive pulley for your old one.. mine was about 18.95.

The best setup for the street that I have found is the 4" underdrive crank pulley, stock water pump pulley and 1 7/8 overdrive alternator pulley.

I do suggest running the 130amp alternator like mentioned.

A good place to source the alternator pulley is here. http://rjminjectiontech.com/?p=7

I used the underdrive waterpump and crank pullies but still had issues with charging when using the underdrive pulley on the alternator even though I upgraded to a 130 amp '94 Mustang GT alternator.
I ended up putting my stock '92 alternator pulley on the higher output alternator.

BTW the fox underdrive alternator pulley is the same size as the SN95 130 alternator amp pulley.

Well if you decide to get a high powered amp or electric fan and you notice that your voltage is too low... remember that overdrive pulley... it's pretty tiny... I'll send a pic...

Basically putting the stock alternator pulley on the higher output alternator is overdriving it since the stock pulley is smaller.
