Am I going to need to place the car up on a rack to do this? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. Just want to make sure as I'm a novice and am just getting into learning my dream car. Thanks for your time and assistance

Yes, you will want the front of the car jacked up on jackstands, set your ebrake, or blocks behind the rear wheels, disconnect the exhaust at the headers and start her up. Don't rev it, or drive it like this though. Let it idle as long as you did before and check to see how hot your headers and fenders are.

I will give this a try the next time I'm back home again. I'm an over the road truck driver so I'm not home very often. Thanks for the advice! I will let you know how things go
