does anybody have a picture of the underneith of a 65 coupe. i need a pretty straight shot of it, or as straight as possible. im trying to plan out an exhaust system that comes out infront of the rear wheels. and need to figure out where to put the bends and all.
anything will help guys. thanks

also, if anybody has this side exhaust setup on their car, it would be great to see a picture and info and how it was done. thanks

look at the tread down from this one that is hot and talks about side exit exhaust, on the last page you will see a perfect undercar photo of dodgestangs car and the side exit exhaust he has...his car is sick
That's NOT dodgestangs car in that picture - it's a photo he's hosting for "MyToys". Dodge's car is rear-exiting. ;)

You also note that major, extensive floorpan rework is required to do side-exits that way.

Here's my twist on side-exits, mufflers (WLK-17676-$49/Summit) fit in stock location:

i read through that other thread after i posted this one. i should have searched prior. sorry bout that.

i found the dynomax mufflers on summit for 50 bucks, which is what i plan to get, but its how to route the outlets. im trying to stay away from to much of a bend.

BOBv...what degree is the bend on the outlet pips you have?

If your worried about the bends, have your shop or whoever is gonna do it use mandrel bent sections and weld it together, that what i did with mine.

I'm guessing it's 120*-135* - about like the bend a typical tailpipe has to make over the rear axle. If I were trying to piece it together using madrel-bent sections, I'd just get a 180* bend and trim backwards from there...

You'll like the Dynomax's - your ears will thank you for not going glasspack. :nice:
