i called my local shop and they said they will install them for 160$ sounds exspesive to me?....and are they a good mod?.....and steeda are the best ones?
I have Steeda underdrives,... They install fairly easy, with the hardest part getting the crankshaft nut loosened. I finally had to buy a good air tool to free it up. You'll need a good torque wrench and a means of degree torquing the crank bolt. Ford calls for a certain torque on the nut and to further tighten the nut another 15 or so degrees. It might also help to use an air tool to get the alternator pulley off. I think $160.00 is a way too much!
Well, let's put it this way,... My son is a mechanic. I can't wait for him to help me with some work! nah,... it's not that much work. I'm sure you both can do it. My brother helped me with my pulley install. When I was having trouble with the crank nut,... I started cursing and swearing. He then left and the rest of the install went just fine.
