Can you run underdrive pullies with a turbo setup. If so what pullies do you recommend. I would like aluminum, because of the wieght. Plus they can't pick up rust to quickly.

While I don't see why you couldn't, I don't see why you would either. With a high hp setup, you're already going to be taxing the cooling system, so you'll probably want to keep the stock water pump pulley (and quite possibly the stock crank pulley too). The crank and alt pulley shouldn't create any problems but you're already going to be looking at 450-600 hp (or more depending on turbo/motor setup) so why worry about an extra 5-10 hp? At that point, I'd be concerned with keeping everything safe and reliable. Save that money and put it towards better brakes to slow the beast down.

Of course, if you already have pulleys (but it doesn't sound like you do from the aluminum comment), I'd run it first and then if there's a problem, swap back to stock.

im stumped too on this. one could dial in 1/20th of a bar more boost to make up for parasitic pulley loss (from stock pullies vs UD's). you still gotta idle and get all the cooling help you can - i would rather have the stock pullies.
so i think we are missing something.. please elaborate.

Sorry I didn't think about it. I agree that it would be dumb. my question was if it would be a good idea, but it's not. Just trying to think of what my girlfriend can get me for christmas.

I hear you as well. I am trying to think of the stuff I want for christmas, and I can't think of anything. I am dropping $2k on the h/c/i kit from trickflow, so I don't know what else I should get.

I am starting to think about springs, SFC's, or a new top. I really need a new top, so I think I might ask for that.
