I got my tax refund back this week and i'm planning on buying some unequal shorty headers. I want to get ceramic coated headers, and before I run out and order something I figured I'd see what you all think first...they have to be unequal shorties and they have to be ceramic coated for me to consider them...so let me know what you suggest!

I'm leaning towards BBK's right now, especially since they have an X pipe to match with Cat's...soooooooo I also want to know how the hardware/gaskets are that come with the BBK's...

thanks everyone!

The e/l make more hp than un e/l but you seem to be hard up for u/l I would go with the bbk they come with gasket ( they suck get mr. gasket ultra seal ) and bolts thats it. quilty is ok you may have to clean up a little around the flanges but they fit great at least with my car.

as far as equal vs. unequal goes: here's why i want unequals (besides the easier bolt in / smog legality / price point)

"The equal lengths take longer to install, are more expensive, and kill low end torque. Not a good first mod. The equal-lengths are good with forced induction and a big stroker, but they're hard on torque - not what you want for a 250hp engine. Save money and save your knuckles; just install the unequal lengths." ~taken from the Aug. 2002 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine, page 50.

in other words, its not worth the time / effort at this point and time for my car. perhaps when i save up for a CHP stroker kit some time from now, I'll consider differently.

Anyways, anyone have any idea how much the FRPP ceramic shorties run? I've read a lot of good things about them tonight and a lot of bad things about BBK, so i'm starting to reconsider (i was hunting around on StangNet reviews for some opinions). BTW, Thanks for the link, but it didn't really offer me anything I didn't know... Hopefully i'll be able to sort things out soon and make my order so i can get started on my summer projects

I dont think you will find cheaper than that. Their customer service is great too.
