Roller, one of my dog bones came out of place and a lifter turned sideways.

Yes, it is a small base circle cam in 351 block that I bolted a 302 spyder assembly to. One of the legs of the spyder wasn't putting much pressure on the dog bone, guess that allowed it to move a bit and catch the top of one of the lifter and come out.
Time for some linked lifters!

Oh damn... I knew about the dizzy gears but wow that lobe took a beating. I'm only to assume you need a new lifter now as well lol.

That is the funniest thing, the lifter looks damn near as good as the rest. It deffinitly came out the victor in that fight. Still rolls perfectly smoothly!

I've built afew motors with crane tie-bar lifters, they work good.
Use those with a standard roller cam and you'll be good
The tie-bar on the cranes is NOT removable and that is one thing i liked.
