i have an 02 auto gt, i've noticed what seems to be an oderless/colorless oily fluid leak under the car, it doesn't seem to leak all the time, it's somewhat intermediate ?

i tried testing to see if it leaked overnight recently but there was no new spots, then today i noticed theres new spots on the garage floor.

it also seems to be coming from the back end of the engine or possibly from underneath the front end of the exhaust ? somewhere around or between this area i believe.

i don't think it's oil or tranny fluid or power steering, or coolant ect. but i could be wrong.

could it be brake fluid ? it feels like cooking oil i'd say, rather thin but definitely greasy, it does not evaporate whatsoever.

thanks for any help guys.

might sound easy and stupid.but...... are you sure it's not just regular water that condensed over the AC lines and start dripping ?

How's your brake fluid level? Any signs of weeping from the back of the master cylinder?

i took it in for an oil change an they changed the c.p. sensor ?

any idea if they fixed the right thing ?

The crank and cam position sensor (not sure which one you're referring to with "c.p.") are both mounted at the front of the engine. If they leaked you'd see motor oil.

Other than plain water condensing from the AC system, I do not know of any other clear oderless liquid in an engine.
