where can I find some locally ?
also, anyone know the downside of using leaded race gas on my car ? i have a test pipe (with O2 emulator), so fouling up the cat is not a concern.
thanks.

I've ran VP C-10 unleaded racing fuel which is 100 octane. It's very good fuel that is O2 sensor safe :nice:

I'm not sure where you are located but you can get VP racing fuels around the PDX area at Wide Open Performance in Vancouver or Woodburn Drag Strip.

Sunoco also offers an unleaded race fuel called GT104+ which I've used as well.

my understanding is that the lead CAN coat various parts of the fuel system and motor and then be removed when you switch back to unleaded and end up in the cat's anyway. the ammount of lead that it takes to kill a cat is so small that I would probably just stick to unleaded and be safe.

When I was looking into it Sonoco GT-unleaded+ was about the highest rated unleaded you could find, but I don't remember off the top of my head what the numbers were.

If your not running your cats and your not going to put them back, the leaded stuff shouldn't hurt anything. Over time it will foul your 02's but it will take quite a while to do it. I run leaded in my car and have not had any problems.
