Alright guys.....for those of you that have been helping me and whatnot in fixing my two codes that were thrown..."MIL" code, and the "IAC" code.....i have replaced everything now...big shout out to all of you who helped me and chimed in...REALLY appreciate it!:SNSign:
Now, I replaced the IAC the other day....got a new one from the bastards that love to rip me off, manny moe and jack.....gotta love em. So, IAC is replaced....and it finally has a gasket this time. I didn't get another one when i put the 75mm ACCUFAB throttle body and plenum.....I also put the MIL eliminators on....so both of my codes should be taken care of....lets hope so.
I disconnected the battery for about thirty seconds or so and reconnected it....fired the car up and let it run. The tach reset itself and all of that lovely stuff, and it idled like crap for a second until it caught itself and maintained a roughly 1000 rpm idle....so....
My question would be, is there possibly a bad "tweek" in my TPS, is that what is causing the idle to be higher than usual? should i not worry about it? ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated.
ALSO, when i started the car, it smelled terrible....it smelled like just "hot metal", no fuel or oil smell, just like "new" metal....so i ignored it, then i noticed HUGE amounts of white smoke coming out of the tailpipes....IS THIS NORMAL? i only installed MILs and IAC....is it normal for it to smoke like that?

BTW, keep in mind that i DID NOT use any carb cleaner or any cleaner on the IAC while replacing it....so that IS NOT what is burning off....ugh

ALSO, i was thinking about going to ADVANCE AUTO tomorrow to see my friend that works there with a scanner...would it be smart for him to "reflash the computer" and read the codes again......?

-thanx guys

Dude....you def. kick ass, always helpin me out....uh....to answer your question, i haven't been driving the car lately, its out of inspection and i live in PA so, not too pretty with the weather either....but not to sound retarded.....maybe your right, maybe it was condensation, it was like a cloudy white smoke, and i didn't rev the car at all.....not once. It sits in my garage, and it was "spitting" (water i guess) out of the tailpipes onto the ground, and dripping it so.....maybe thats all that it was, condensation....didn't expect it to have a white cloudy appearance to it though....uh, also what about the "hot metal" smell? i can't really describe the smell, i guess it could just be because of the IAC? Do you think i should go to advance tomorrow? Will their little scanner actually "reflash" the computer....thanx alot bro....you rule
