Its been a while since I did a thread in this forum. Nothing much happened since I blew the engine on June 6th. And since the stang was for sale anyway, I decided to part the car of all the mods except a few. Then I needed an engine so I bought a 302HO from a 89 Lincoln Mark VII. I heard it running and it idled as good as my 95, when it worked. I then moved out and got a new place and was really busy fixing stuff, etc so I couldnt do the swap yet and then I cut my hand and needed stitches and stuff like that kept
happening to slow me down in my process. I pulled the engine from that sob last Friday.
As you can see it was a mess. A lot of stuff was seized and I used the sawsall of a few things
. And to add things up, that car has been protected for winter with that black oily stuff so the engine itself was also full of it. So dirty. But I've been working this week on fixing it up and changing stuff that wouldnt fit on my 95. Like valve covers, timing cover, waterpump, fuel rail, oil pan was too rusted so I put the 95, etc. Bunch of stuff like that. This is a 100% stock engine. And I also painted the whole thing. Here's a few pics of the process.
The upper is only holding with 2 bolts since it wil go once I put the engine in the stang. Just need to put the pulleys and brackets and I'm ready to go. But one thing....I must of misplaced my stock motor mounts. They're not in here thats for sure. And I sold my Energy ones... The junkyards back here are worthless so I think I'll have to buy new ones or used ones or Ebay or something. Anybody got the stockers still let me know please.
What you guys think of the color choices ?
