I decided to start my winter project a little early. so here's what I'm doing

Ported and polished heads, 3 angle valve job, and oversized valves. I'm reusing my Comp Cams springs. I allready had a set of comp cams xe270ah but there was a PTV contact problem discovered after I pulled the heads so Comp agreed to replace my cams with their 274's which is a little more agressive but a little lower lift.

Aviator fuel pump
larger fuel injectors
new motor mounts
new intake (if avalible) or upper plenum
under drive pulleys
new gaskets including high quality header gaskets with locking bolts
upping the shot from a 100 to 150
getting a retune using SCT

The bummer is that after I get the heads on I will have to drop the K-member to get the long tubes back on. I'm having a shop in my area do the heads (I've seen flow numbers from other PI heada they have done). So what do you guys think? Is there anything I'm missing? Any suggestions?

Also do I have any options as far as head bolts, and head gaskets? Thanks.

OMG That thing is going to be a beast, the torque of the 150 shot plus the hp of the ported heads is going to make that thing absolutely bad ass...forged shortblock or did I miss that in your sig??? LOL Id be prepared for next winters project

you missed nothing. My brother in law was a 99 cobra short block waiting for me when this thing blows. All I have to do is wheel it from his shop next door to the engine shop for a rebuild.

So what head bolts and head gaskets should I get?
