Guess I should get mine on the dyno since I have the AFR 185's, Holley intake, 1 3/4 Long tubes and a full 3 inch exhaust system.

94opalgt,

Not to mention you have removed your A/C pump and smog pump. My lower intake was also not ported/polished when it was built. So my Edelbrock heads are probably starving and my cam isn't pulling as much into the cylinder as it could with a bigger cam. I also wanted a car that I could drive in a traffic jam. And still pass emissions. So, I pretty much got what I asked for I guess. Now if I threw another cam in, and ported my lower intake (which is happening now), and took out all of my "inspection-required parts", I don't think that the 302 would touch it. Especially after throwing a charger on it. There is "no replacement for displacement." Go with the Stroker, and build it out the @$$. You'll be happier for it.

Yeah i would be interested to see what a more typical "correct" 347 combo like yours would put down. I could have built one from scratch it would have been that combo, but i had to work with the parts i had. 302 parts 302 hp.

Ed's cam may be a bit more aggressive than what I have. I have a custom grind from Comp.

I did a little Desk Top Dyno modeling to see where I came in with a comparison to his #'s

Got some #s for you.

Current Combo

You can chart these out.

Flywheel #'s under optimum conditions

I think #'s are a bit high on the tq, a lot variables can effect that, especially exh.

Interesting to see how it compares. It truly is a TQ monster though, FTI cam delivers as promised. I would imagine it would drive VERY well.

RPM HP TQ
2000 155 408
2500 202 424
3000 254 444
3500 307 460
4000 349 458
4500 381 444
5000 395 415
5500 393 375
6000 367 321

Net: 340-345 RWHP
Net: 385-395 RWTQ

Remember these are approx #'s Lots of variables to effect them But it gives you an idea, I will work up some #'s with better heads Exh.
