i was wondering if there was a mid pipe that i could get for my car now, that would be able to change the front pipes to fit long tubes when i get them later. i want a deeper, more aggressive tone. so i was thinking about getting a prochamber as i have heard nothing but good things about it with flowmasters. anyone know of any?? also, are there any good, reliable sets of long tubes out there for under $300.00? thanks for the info

you won't find a good set of headers for under $300

slp is the only company i've seen that makes modular exhaust components. a little expensive though. stainless steel, so probably worth it

you wont be able to put a midpipe on that will work with longtubes later on down the road. a midpipe that fits a car w/ stock headers fits different than a midpipe made for a car w/ LTs.

For LTs, look into SLP, BBK, Mac, Hooker etc....

i know that there is a difference. that picture of the x-pipe on here looks like the tubes from the x that go to the stock manifolds(before the x) can be removed like say to let some long tubes fit if i changed to them later. i think maybe thats how i should have worded it. that x might be the mid pipe i'm looking for, what kind is it?

Yup, i think thats the only company that offers that midpipe for now. You could also just get a midpipe for now and have it cut later on to fit your LT's
