Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice about upgrading my 4 gauge GT instrument panel to the 6-gauged one with the message center and mycolor option. I know it's possible. I've read about it. I just need opinions on where to order/install. Anyone live in Arizona that knows a dealer willing to work a reasonable deal?? A lot of dealers here just try to screw you over unnecessarily. I've heard about the re-flash that needs to be done but have also heard a rumor that you can order the new ones and they don't need to be re-flashed. I would love to just install it myself if possible.

You can do it if your wiring is already there. Some early production 05 cars had the wiring even if they didn't have the message center.
Your computer will have to be reflashed. Your mileage on the car has to be entered, etc. I did it on an 05 V6.

Hey buddy I just barely did this last week on my 08 GT. I bought my gauge cluster from the Ford dealer for about $350 and gave them my old cluster as a core. You do need to have your computer reflashed. What I did was I ordered the gauges, then they got to the dealer I took my car there and made the swap in the parking lot then let them do their computer thing and was set. Taking out the gauges is really easy.

A way to see if your car is wired is you know where you should have those 3 buttons right above your radio, but there is just a cover? Pop off that cover and see if the wires are hooked onto the back of the cover. If they are then you are good to go.

So.....if you had a supercharger and a tune loaded into the computer you would have to re-install the factory tune at the dealership, let them do their thing, and then reinstall the supercharger tune and drive away?

I checked and I do have the wires already connected so I'm ready to go. I think mine was built in late '04. Now I just need to find a dealer and get it set up. Thanks for the posts guys.
