doing a front susp. rebuild on my 65 coupe . i got new upper arm shafts and blasted the control arms, and the new ends won't screw in. the old ones still will though, is there a tapp that i can chase the treads with? or some thing.? :bang: thanks

does anyone do anything anymore other than just get out the catalog and credit card? these control arms are 42 years old and still far better than some taiwanese stamping.( i just got an export brace and took it out of the box and started grinding the burr off of it ) why buy new when you have to fix it,sandblast it, thenpowdercoat it? besides i'll be boxing these arms for strength. saying i did it myself is far cooler than oh yeah i ordered them.

Some people do still do it. The thing is, with the cost at time associated with the parts and rebuilding procedure its not really worth it. You can get new control arms that are at a minimum on par with factory parts and box those for slightly more cash and much less time.

We still rebuild original arms, send me an email or give us a call and I'll be glad to help. There are some tricks to it that I'll be happy to share.
