I was wondering how a ported upper plenum with a spacer compares to an aftermarket plenum. I know it sounds dumb, but I kinda like the pony on my upper plenum and don't want to give it up unless there's a big difference in power.

Wow, Someone else like the OE Pony too.

I was wondering the same thing. I ported my upper and am using the Steeda spacer and a FRPP 70mm TB. I really couldn't tell a difference between this combo and the Accufab my friend put on his 99 GT.

I bought a C&L but I couldn't make myself replace the pony. Nor could I give Accufab free advertisment on my engine.

Modualar depot got 3hp out of p/p alone, and I know for a 100% on a dyno that a Steeda spacer adds 2-3hp.

Plenum Porting,

Newbie to the site, I asked earlier about porting. Did you download schematics for the port job, or do it as you went?

For looks, other than the C&L one, I personally like the way they all look. My favorite though, is this one - not yet released.

edit. Sorry here is the link to the page...

Cryptic: Check this out. I haven't done it myself yet. It doesn't look like it would be that hard. Especially since I have a compressor, die grinder, and assorted bits already.

Edit: It might help if I actually put the link up.

Plenum Porting,

Great link, thanks. Now I've got to make up my mind of either porting stock or waiting 4 the BBK.
