OK, I called George at MGW and asked him to if I should leave the shift stops on the shifter. He told me that the tremec 3650 has em built in the tranny, so take them out. I also called Tremec and verified that. Now the UPR piece is nice, and a great price. I called UPR and they said leave them in. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? Im either gonna order one of em, but the 89.95 UPR sounds like a good deal. Thx for the help guys

Leave them , just set them the thickness of a credit card and lock them down good. Check them after couple of weeks and verify they haven't moved.

JayC do you have the UPR shifter? Or do you recommend another one. Im really liking the MGW shifter, but again, 89.95 is 89.95...

remember you get what you pay for. I have a Steeda Tri-ax and love it. I have heard the MGW is the way to go now just my 2 cents

Yes, I've had a UPR shifter for about 2 years now. Feels as good as any I've tried. Good solid unit, shifts sweet

I have the extreme I think. The trick wasn't available at the time. The trick is the more adjustable one , right?

You have it backwards, the extreme has the set screw in a two piece handle to adjust the height, the trick is one piece.

Same with me, I've had mine for over a year and the only shift I missed is when my hand slipped off the knob itself, my error.
Although I have been thinking about the MGW.

I have the UPR shifter with the free upgraded adj. handle. I is one sweet piece. I can't see how any other shifter can be worth the xtra $70-80. If you need a shifter that hightech maybe you should just get an auto. I set mine so I have a credit card width between it. I didn't know about the discount and paid $99. But still a great buy. Have fun.

Yes, the 3650 has internal stops. I would set the shifter stops anyway as a backup. I would set them so that they barely touch, that way the tranny uses it's own internal stops and uses the shifter's stops as a failsafe...although it most likely will never hit them
