UPR BoostMaster Pipe

I've got the powerpipe. It is very pricey and was somewhat of a pain to install for me because their instructions for cutting weren't at all where I had to cut mine. Overall it was a great mod, I saw just over 14# on the stock pullies and stock heads at 6200rpm.

I did buy a new elbow for the powerpipe, the one that comes with it with the reducer just was not a satisfactory fit. Instead I bought a 4" to 3.5" 90deg elbow and that fit EXCELLENT.

I haven't personally used the UPR but have heard mixed opinions from those that have.

I had the UPR on my 95 GT w/ a Paxton Novi 2000. Sorry I dont have any pics. It got the job done but had to cut away some from the fender hole. If your not set with spending $200+ for the Anderson pipe then the UPR works good.

I am in the middle of a UPR install. It is not a great fitting piece but you get what you pay for. I am finding out the huge hole story is true but I cant see how the AFM piece would be that much different. I dont understand the positioning for the bypass hose fitting. I am sure it will fuction well, just does not fit well.

Take some pictures of the install, I can host them up if you don't have a spot, just shoot me a PM and I'll give you my email.

I am curious to see how it sits in the fender etc.

I will get some shots of it but I am not to happy with the fit and my work either. I had surgery on my hand three weeks ago and probably jumped into this project to soon. Oh well, It wont look to bad. I will get those pictures tomorrow. I took the day off (sore hand)but it should be done about mid day I Hope. I think they changed the pipe some because when I had one in my fox the bypass fitting was at the intake of the charger now it is way down by the MAS inside the fender well. I just did not like the elbow that the SQ came with and as long as this adds some more power(any at all) I will be happy. On a side note I paid $89 tok the door from billit depot on Ebay so I am not that dissapointed in the fit.

I honestly would skip this pipe and do the AFM one. Yes its alot more money but I would guess it fits a good deal better and wont make you mad trying to install it. UPR had to have changed this thing because it just does not seem like the one I had in my 93' The bypass valve bung is all wrong and it just does not seem like it will fit an sn95 car at all. I will play with it a bit more and if It dont fit it goes on the auction block. I may just bite the bullet and get the Power Pipe now that I have a hole in the fender to fill.

Now that you mention it I remember the bypass valve bs too... AFM or bust man..

well I beat the pipe. What a pain in butt that was. I am not that pleased with the cosmetic aspect of it but in the morning I will start it up and see how it acts. I really found myself making a big hole. I guess once I get it all the small details finished up it wont be to bad but it definately does not fit this car.

this is a blower application. I do not like where the mass air is and I think I will relocate the air temp sensor to the fox location. All said and done its O.K. Now I need to get this thing tuned.
