I have the basic 5-6 PSI Vortech supercharger on my car, bought the UPR boostpipe, it has a provision for a bypass valve. Is there any reason that I absolutely need the bypass valve on mysetup??

No...not as long as you keep it at 5-6 lbs of boost.

Good deal, after adding the pipe I sometimes would see 7lbs of boost on my guage, I'd rather not mess with the bypass valve if its not needed

Bypass valve is a good investment. It eliminates compressor surge.

BTW...how do you like the "B" springs?
I just got a set and I was wondering how much did they lower your car F/R.
I'm looking for about 1 7/8 F/R...looks like I will need to cut them to get the drop I want.

You might be able to get away without one just fine, but adding one is still a good idea IMO. Compressor surge not only takes life out of your supercharger/turbo but also slows down how fast it'll boost back up once you get back on the gas (particularly in a turbo setup).

I am well satisfied with my B springs, my car has a little rake to it, nothing too bad, it sits just right for me.

i didnt used one with 5-6 psi for a while but i made my own setup and i noticed a definate drivebility improvement even with 5-6 psi. so they do help. if you ever upgrade boost i say its mandatory.
