upr coilover help ?

Just got a set of coilover w/ springs and new shocks. My question is according to the directions that UPR gave me you assy. with all there parts and install 7/8 spacer included with CC plates. I am using stock CC plates for now and when you use the bushing you have no thread for the nut and it mention's nothing about any bushing for the strut to go thru at the CC plates. What's the deal ?

you have to measure and cut like 5/8's off the steel shaft (the spacer) and it will work out great,

here's how it goes, they give you a cone shaped piece to go over the bearings, this is why it pushes the steel spacer up, and you only have like 3-4 threads, and it puts alot of play into everything, you measure how tall it is, go get a cut off wheel and cut that measurement off the steel sleve, and it will work flawlessly, ive put around 1500miles on mine so far and it handles much better and transfers weight much better, and frees up alot of space!!!

Thanks will do. Also when I put in the MM CC plates will I have to buy any thing else to use those.

not sure mang, but I am sure bout the stock method, because i have a car in the garage thats done that way...

You shouldnt use stock CC plates for a coil over conversion...They are not strong enough.. When installing coil overs,all of the stress is transferred to the top of the shock tower. A good metal CC plate is a must, not aluminum use steel like the Maximum Motorsport CC plates...
I used MM cc plates with my UPR coil overs...The MM plates come with everything you need...
