I recently got a new Spec stage 1 clutch installed with my new motor. After some trouble with the clutch (i already know all about how horrible Spec is, so I don't need any input about that) I decided to have a UPR Xtreme firewall adjuster with adjustable cable and triple hook quadrant. After my shop installed it, they told me that the clutch wouldn't adjust and still released real high(same as stock). They put the cable on the third hook furtherest from the firewall and it still won't adjust and they also tried the lifting the clutch trick. the reason i got the whole adjustable cable assembly was because the clutch kept on having a burning smell and the shop told me it was slipping but I broke in the clutch with no problems, but with 800 mi on it, it started happening. They said the clutch was bad thats why it won't adjust. Does anyone know if this is true or if anyone knows how to adjust it becuase they never showed me how to.

Ok let me see do you have both the firewall adjuster and also on the end of your cable where it hooks to the tranny a adjustment line there too?

Sorry just re-read your post, so you do have both adj. places, im not sure if a faulty clutch could cause the Non adjustable problems your haveing As far as adjusting the clutch its just a turn a little try it and repeat until you have it the way you want it. It can take a while to get it just right, especially when you have a completely ajd set up like you have, on my 91 I had mine set to engauge with just a light tap on the clutch, it made for easy powershifts and superfast shifting.
