UPR k member kit

I really like the finish on mine,no fitment issues except the one dowel pin on the motor mount does fit exactly right so u may have to enlarge it a bit.only thing i have noticed is my coilovers are pretty loud.

I've been considering tubeler K for sometime.
Weight reduction/room to work on lower engine are main reason.

But i do not want to go with coilover as I hear many good story, as well as bad story. like being noisy as such.
PA racing makes one that allows tubler A-arm with spring purch so that you can retain existing suspention, but then that sort of defeating the part of purpose of going with tube K and A-arm im my opinion. So i donno what to do....

Those who has UPR K's, you huys have any pic of it on the car? How much more room do you gain?

I worry about it being weaker than the stock K. My car is my daily driver so front crash protection is still a concern.

I agree that if your car is daily driver, then tubeler K is prolly not a best idea.
I was told that in case of accident, if adjuster notice tube k member, they can deny your crame(donno how true that is tho).

Mine is weekend worrior. So while I still have to remain concern about it, but less so then DD

i drive mine daily and i don't think its a huge issue.i think the best thing that came out of the install is the clearance is rediculous compared to before.opens it up a lot.put the motor in with trans and headers attached, went in nice and smooth.i have some pics i'll try and post.not the best pics but you can see.as for the noise in the coilovers i haven't nailed that down yet but it could be a number of things.

i have a UPR on my car. .. it bolted in just fine without any problems.. i also installed MAC longtubes without taking touching the K (and it was cake too)

only thing that i didnt like is i have a re occuring squeek in my a arms that annoys me.. so i have to grease it twice a year.. but ive talked to alot of people and im thge only person who i have heard of with the squeek

Thanks for the info, Ive seen you post on it before.... If you don't mind me asking, what was the difference in drivability, and overall feel of your car after installing the k member. Many of my F-body freinds' cars feel really good on the street, and they havent had any problems, though it wasnt upr. Thanks

not really supposed to have it on a daily driver but your not really supposed to have no cats on your car either ya know.just be extra cautious after the install of the kmember if your going to drive it on the street a lot, thats what i do.

what are you running at the track?

No catalitic converter on your car!?:nono:

Amount of power gain between no cats and modern high performance cat, and amount of trouble you can get in if you get cought is not worth it IMO.

Besides, if you can avoide accident purely by YOU be extra careful, then we won't need insurance. Its usually other people that ran it to you(all accident I got this past 10 years have been - Druken hoe slammed me, old lady not watching when she was changing lane, some idiot not watching as he was backing up).

With that being said, I still want one for my car...

i dont know the exact weight difference but i know i can hold the upr in hand with 3 fingers, the stock i need 2 hands haha, big enough differance for me.i heard claims of about 60-70 pound weight drop with the entire front end kit.,i have all of it yet my car is still a tank.god damn 03 cobra seats and 18s haha
