So I got my Accufab plenum/TB today from the former MT.

That's pitting all over the plenum in the 1st pic, and scratches all over the IAC mount on the 2nd one.. 3rd is just a random pic of more pitting. The bottom of the plenum is all scratched just like the IAC.

Great quality control Accufab! It's getting sent back.

You can polish it out yourself....but sending it back is probably the best thing to do. But man I HATE having to send stuff back

Holy crap man... that sucks. I wouldnt care about the IAC port, cause you wont see it once the IAC is hooked up, but God the rest of that thing is nasty. Wonder if it was Accufab or American Muscle?

While I LOVE MT/American Muscle's products, and I always tell people to buy stuff from them.....I just dont see how that could happen coming striaght out of the factory at Accufab. That had to be a restocking issue over at AM that caused that.

I'm acutally surprised that pits at all. Makes me wonder how long before a new one would pit anyway

Wow, that's almost gross looking. I bought mine from the same place a few weeks ago and it was nothing like that. It might have a little pitting but nothing like that. A little is normal but that is uncalled for. Definitely send that back and request another because there not all like that.

Here's what mine looks like. It was near perfect all over, pretty much what i expected for the money i spent on it.

Yeah I'm thinking that Accufab probably screwed it up at the factory, then MT missed it when they packaged it. I wrote MT about it.. I've ordered a ton of stuff from them in the past (including wheels) ... and this was the first thing I had a problem with.. I'm sure they'll handle it gracefully.

I wrote Accufab a nice e-mail with pictures included, ending with "Great quality control!"

accufab is very inconsistent on finish. When I worked at MT about half of the TB/Plenums were this way, the other half were better. I'd say throw it on the car, because waiting sucks.

I'd send it back (although I hate doing that also!) just because of how much it costs vs. the quality. Then again, I'm mad picky about stuff I buy for my car ....
