A buddy of mine bought a used saleen replica front bumper. We are going to sand and prep for paint. Well, he started on his own and sanded down too much in one spot and put a little pit in the bottom of the bumper. The bumper is made of urethane, is their any type of filler you can get that can repair the urethane and make it look good again? What should we buy? Thanks.

I too was looking for a repair kit for a urethane bumper. Basically, what I found was that there really is no easy DIY kit. 3M makes some urethane repair products but I couldn't find any in the local auto shops. I also found a nice procedure for the 3M product. I hope someone posts a good suggestion, I've still got a deep scratch in my rear bumper that multiple coats of touch-up and a layer of clear coat paint aren't able to fill.

There are high quality urethane repair/fill products out there.

I had the letters filled on my rear Cobra bumper. I saw the product being demonstrated for a tech article in a import car magzine. After seeing how well it filled, I ordered the bumper on the spot and asked for it to be filled.

I don't recall the manufacturer or product name though. Like everyone else suggested, contact a good body shop, especially one that does high end or custom work...
