I've got everything apart and im installing the springs. Do i need to reuse those rubber ford pieces on the axle and on top of where the springs mount? Some are rotted and the top half does not fit my BBK springs. The springs did not come with these rubber pieces. Is it ok to just install them and have the springs touch the axle and metal up top?

Many people have installed springs and eliminated the isolators..It may make car sit just a little lower

Ok, i was hopping that would be the case. Since two of them are rotted. Just for the record we're not talking about that cylindrical piece of plastic in the spring right? we're talking about those saucer shapped plastic pieces (there are 4) that go on each end of the spring.

they really can face anyway you want them aso long as the face the same direction on both sides. fwiw, my pigtail either ends at 12 oclock or 6 o'clock position if you wer looking from rear of car

ok, so if the one on the left (drivers side is facing 3'Oclock)
then the oneon the right (passangers) should also be facing 3'o'clock"

my bottom isolator (cup) on the pass side is gone, causes car to squeek!! I ordered new ones to stop the squeeking. You may want to reconsider eliminateing them. fwiw I DO have aftermarket springs.

i've heard harsh ride and more noise come from eliminating isolators, just get yourself some polyeurethane ones. it won't sit quite as low, but you'll get a better, quieter ride because of it.

and i believe the correct way to install the pigtail is it ends at 6 o clock, pointing towards driver's side
