I recently bought a 2003 Mustang coupe with V6, 5spd and about 131k miles.
My car runs good, and there appear to be no issues. However, at around 16-2000 rpms the engine seems "coarse" through the gears. It's smooth at idle and at higher rpms, but right there it just seems obviously rough.
It's not a miss and it doesn't vibrate when revved with the clutch in or out of gear. It's just under load.
I've had several 5.0L's but no 3.8's...is this just how they are or could there be a motor mount collapsing, etc?
