V8 VS V6 tranny

is there a difference between the two cause i want to sell my friend my short shifter for his v6 and i want to make sure it will work for it.

the shifter should work with no problems but as far as the two go I think the v8 has thicker, more heavy duty internal gears.

what tranny do you have? if its the tremec, your shifter wont work on his t5.

if you have an early model '01 with the t45, it will work fine for him too

01 GTs either had a tremec T45 or a tremec T3650, the v6's had a tremec T5.
