vacuum lines for smog stuff.

I deleted my smog equipment a long while ago. I have all of the old vacuum lines plugged except for a red one running to my intake. I was wondering if i can delete that, and get rid of that whole group of four vacuum lines altogether? It just runs into the fender, where does this go? Do i still need it if all my smog stuff is gone? Thanks guys.

The red or green one feeds the EGR...The other pulls vacuum from that nipple on your upper....just make sure the 3 pronged plug/lines going into the fender are securely plugged....otherwise it'll leak from the other end (under the fender)
I have no issues and my stuff is gone also...

No EGR, no AIRB, and no AIRD = no red line needed. Cap at intake.

If you still have the EGR on your car you need the red and green vac. lines. The red goes from the intake into the fender to a solinoid, and all the other vac. lines (green, tan, white) are hooked up there and thats how they all get their vaccume. Then from the fender or the 3 pronged thing, the green one goes to your EGR valve.

Rick...wonder what happens you remove those solenoids??? Are they electrically feed or vac feed from somewhere else??? just curious...

They're electrically driven, but no other vac runs to them other than that 4 (red, green, white, pink) tube harness. Disconnecting them is no problem. Although I not using any of their functions, I'm going to leave them in there. They can't weigh that much (1 pound max), and I decide later to run an EGR or smog, they will be there. Most importanly, I don't want the electrical connectors to be open to the elements, corroding them. I'll just stuff the vac harness under there.

I actually found them for the first time last night. Always wondered what it looked like under the fender liner.

Go pull it off, it's easier than I thought it would be. I found a 7mm 1/4 drive socket in there on one side, and discovered a hole plug that had come out of it's hole on the other!
