Hey guys I'm getting close to having the car running again and I need to know what vacuum lines are absolutely needed and what ones are not. I'm keeping the power brakes, a/c, and I'm doing MAF conversion. My mods are in my signature and here is the link to my build on the Talk side of this forum. Progress Thread - My First Notch build thread | Mustang Forums at StangNet

I also need to know where is the best spot to source the vacuum on the intake. I've seen it come from the side of the upper intake right before the TB and of course the usual spot under the upper intake....or do I need to use both locations. Also does anybody know if any parts stores sell those little plastic vacuum line that came on the car originally or should I use rubber lines?

Thanks in advance.

need more info... what intake and do you have/need smog equipment?
What this guy said , My car has zero of that :poo: so i have booster, fp reg, the stuff to run the vents, the blower bypass valve , the boost ref sensor . and thats about it . Its all about how the car is setup i have no pcv so thats gone too ,no egr, no smog

There is no port under the systemax like on the stock intake. All the vacuum ports are behind the throttle body. Mine has 3 ports on the back. One for the FPR, vacuum tree and PCV system.

Same here, with one additional from the valve cover filler neck to the throttle body.

Correct. You can still use the line to the valve cover, but it needs to be relocated to part of the intake tract that doesn't see boost. If possible. And the throttle body port gets capped off.

If you leave it in the stock spot, you are doing nothing but building crank case pressure.

Ok, I won't be boosted for a very long time. I will have nitrous before the end of the year tho. But as of right now I'm N/A. So is the line from the filler neck to the tb a no no for my setup? Should I just get a breather cap and cap off the little nipple on the filler neck and the one on the TB?
