alright so i appear to be vacuume line challenged.. i dont know what goes to what, i know one of the long black ones goes to the intake. but what goes to the top of the fuel lines? and what one goes to that sensor on the EGR plate.. I have 2 broken white ones, one of which i believe goes on the pollution junk thats now thrown behind the bench never to be put on again lol...so off that little tree by the firewall on the passenger side i have 2 black and 2 white.. does it matter which ones go to the intake? Anyway, im trying to get all this right so when i start it up and it runs like **** for a while cuz of all the mods, want to know its not the mixed up lines lol...

Well seeing as theres 60 some views and no responses...lol basically what i wanna know is, does it matter if the lines i cant figure out get vaccume right off the intake? or does like the EGR and pressure regulator need to get vaccume from a specific source? And if melting the 2 broked ones shut will cause problems elsewhere...

Well I got rid of that connector with the stupid plastic lines that break, I have regular vaccum hose. The fuel pressure reg gets vaccum directly from the manifold, from what I seen Ford egr lines are green and the egr should be hooked into the big solenoid on the strut tower. Thats about all I can tell you.

Heres a link to a vaccum diagram and other stuff. http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/

Fuel pressure regulator can come right off the intake. EGR has to come through the solenoid for it. Do you have a/c? How about cruise control? You can actually remove quite a few lines and still keep a functional car. All I have on mine is a line from the intake to the FPR, to the brake booster, and to the hvac controls so I can switch between vent and window defrost. Nice and clean

im not positive but i believe it used to have cruise lol but if i could get rid of that whole nasty looking thing that would be great.. im kinda confused about the what line goes to the EGR tho.. basically i have the little tree with the that connects the brake booster and other stuff runnin off the intake, pcv to intake, and fuel reg to intake.. so im guessing all thats gonna effect my engine running smoothly is the egr correct? Oh and yes i have AC

the exact same thing happened to me just last week while replacing heads cam and intake. one black goes to tree on back of intake, one white goes to EGR, one white goes to smog/air pump sensor, one black having trouble remembering now. dont know if im much help here. i dont know if theres a difference what goes to what, maybe vacuum is vacuum. I had to install a vacuum resiviour for my application to increase lost vacuum.

Thank you very much, that helps alot.. i knew one black went to intake but the other long black one iv had plugged off for god knows how long because i couldnt for the life of me figure out where it went even back when everything was stock lol..i did find a neat trick however to plugging the lines..i used to just plug them with a bolt and like a zip tie lol but this time i took a regular soldering gun and melted them shut..got just hot enough to do the trick without them catching fire.. worked great lol... dont know if thats a common way to do it but i thought it was neat..
