I'm looking at picking up a set of 03/04 Cobra wheels for my '98 Cobra. I don't see them too often, but ran across a set this past week that are local. Wheels are original '03 Cobra wheels and they have brand new (0 mile) 275/40/17 all season tires that are about a year old; I suspect they've just been sitting in a garage. Wheels are in decent shape, they have some minor scuffs and scrapes, probably good from an appearance standpoint from 5' away.

He's asking $900, which seems awfully high to me. I understand the tires are new, but I don't feel like, even with new tires, someone should be able to expect to recoup all of that money when turning around and selling them.

What's a fair price for these?

Way too high. $400-500 if clean with new tires. They are not rare and most cobra guys don't keep them around.

I agree with squeak they arent that special. Offer him $500 and then $600 as your highest offer if he declines the $500...

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. He was saying the tires were $550 new and he thinks the wheels are worth $350, hence his $900. I just don't think they're worth that. I'm willing to go $500, maybe a bit higher if I'm in a good mood.

If that's how he values his items then I bet he's also the type of guy that immediately offers you $50 for a part you have listed for $150 lol.
