Yeah, yeah, I know it's a bad question, but a co-worker has a friend selling the shell (frame, all body panels, wheels and axels) of a 67 fastback. He started a restoration so the body looks fantastic. I know the car is not a shelby or GT, but I have no idea if it's V6 or V8. Would you guys ball park me what you think it's worth? Feel free to base estimates on V6 value vs. V8. He's moving to Hawaii in months so I may get a great price.

Thanks,

Most likely if it has 5 lug wheels on rear and front its a V8 ,4 lug is 6 banger,But if body is in really nice shape ,which you probably coundt tell because you need to know about mustangs to really judge a good body,But as for price we need pictures there really isnt and good alternative to tell ya

It is worth somwhere between what the person who wants it the most is willing to pay and what the person who is selling it is willing to take. Sorry but that is the best guess when dealing wiuth a blind unknown. Regardless of the shape it's in, a car is always worth more when complete simply because you know everything that is needed and where it all goes. Sadly this stage is probably the most labor intensive and I am sure he spent alot of time and money on it but it's also the lowest value stage, the car is completely unusable as is.

The very best deal in any situation is when both parties are happy, I'm sure you have a budget and figure in mind so have you asked him what he wants for it?

Body has/or has not had any body work?? In primer?? clear title?? If its in fair/fixable/stripped out/rolling shape it would bring $5-6000.00++ on Epay. Seriously look the car over top to bottom for rust, look up under the dash with a light this area is a major problem.Ask what he will take, make him an offer...thats all you can do.

I found one local for $1350, but it's a rusted out turd.

I'd agree that they're probably going for $5k-$6k. That place up north that is supposed to be offerint Camaro 'verts and '67 Mustang fastbacks has a proposed shell price of about $11k with no doors or front sheetmetal.

Hopefully I'll see the car this weekend. That is why I don't have all the info yet. My friend says all the body work is complete, primed, rust free and straight as an arrow. All that's left of the rest of the car is axles and wheels. The seller does'nt know how much he wants for it yet, but it should be cheap b/c he's moving to Hawaii in a couple weeks and needs to unload it. That's why I had no idea what it's worth. Thanks for all the help.
