Im thinking about buying a 5.0, I don't know anything about them really so what do you think would be a good price im looking for the 1990 and up model (the one that came before the 94, 95) and have 5 thousand max, how much do you think it would run me for a good condition one with good milege on it?

You should be able to find a nice one for 5,000. Most 5.0's you find are gonna be high mileage because.... well they are old. But high milegae isn't really a bad thing on these cars they are pretty tough. Plenty of guys on here get well over 200,000 miles on the stock engine.

Yeah with 5K you should be able to pick up a nice clean car. Thats what I paid for my 90 GT 2 years ago. It was bone stock down to the air silincer. Had 70,000 miles and mint condition. Just keep searching until you find the one YOU want!
