Valve Clatter??

I have a 06 GT auto and when it shifts into 3rd gear under a load, like going up a hill, around 2800-3000rpm it sounds like valve clatter? It's been doing this for quite a while and I'm about ready to figured out what is going on. Anyone else had this problem? Also I don't believe it is pinging because it's a pretty faint noise. I'm going to clean the TB and MAF this weekend and see if that helps, BTW.
Running 87 octane brenspeed tune.

Remove the tune and report back. I would imagine that the heat and humidity are pretty high there in Alabama.

What you're likely hearing is detonation. Something else you can do if you're at half a tank or less is top off with with high test gas and see if the noise goes away.

Fill up with at least 91 octane and see if that helps. If it does then you'll have to adjust your tune and/or run the higher octane. I have a BAMA tune ,their 87 tune needs 89, and their 89 needs 91, at least for my car in this area (Charlotte, NC).
