final5-0 Mustang Master Apr 6, 2003 6,817 12 79 DFW Texas Jun 18, 2007 #5 Jun 18, 2007 #5 Left is a regular or typical lock washer Center is a stainless steel lock washer I use on header bolts Right is what I use on my VC bolts When I moved from oem VC's to Fox VC's my oem bolts were too short because the Fox VC's cast Aluminum is thicker than the oem stamped steel VC's. I got bolts a bit longer in length and I selected cheap bolts as you are not doing anything but just crushing the VC gasket to seal it anyway. I used those above lock washers with the longer bolts and all has been good to go from the time I put the combo together in late 2002. Grady
