ok so i bought a set of ford vc gaskets (ive always used these) to run with my new heads and fox vc's. A problem i noticed is that the gasket lines up perfectly with the edge of the vc itself, but, it hangs off of the mounting surface on the head. its like the mounting surface is smaller than it should be (the gasket lined up pertfectly on my iron gt40's as did the vc's)!! the valve cover is also larger than the surface too and has an overhang.
im pretty sure there will be a gap and they will leak. Anyone seen this before or know what to do?
