Ok well my cork spacers to make my covers fit are getting old ive already had to tighten them down twice because they have come loose. What kind of valve covers will work on my car so that i can use the stock style rubber/metal gaskets? I have stud mount heads with 1.6rrs. Foxs could work right? And what about the trick flow valve covers, how are those? Thanks guys

I'm happy with my standard height Trickflow's. Fit over my 1.6's fine.

With the Fox covers, you are going to need to grind some of the supports out of them. It's not really a big deal, just a PITA. You also need to remove the oil baffle for everything to clear. Again, not a big deal, just a PITA. I scammed mine off of eBay for 40 bucks.

I have been looking at these trick flow ones now.

But notice where it says stock height. Is that a stock Fox height or stock our height, because the biggest thing for me is to get rid of those lame Cork spacers and just use the stock style rubber/metal ones.

Wait so you needed the phenolic spacer to clear the trick flow covers? I really dont want a phenolic spacer, i dont even think it would clear my hood.

My fox covers work fine. Had to take the oil baffle out, but I think I may fab something up to work as a baffle because im getting oil shooting out of my breather sometimes. Lotsa cylinder pressure
