Valve covers and 1:6:1 roller rockers

Greetings folks, I am puttin together a new motor for my son's 91 Notch. The motor is an 87, and I will be running stock ported heads with FMS 1:6:1 roller rockers and an E303 cam. Will these work with the factory valve covers ? (I have an intake spacer if needed for tall covers)

yes, the 1.6 rockers will fit. you might have to take out the baffle under the oil fill tube, but thats it. ive got 1.7 rockers under my stock valve covers with no problems. wish my dad would build me a motor

1.6 is the stock ratio so unless the rr's are a really beefy design i don't see any problems.

The early Fox valve covers may have more strengthening ribs in them than the newer foxes. I had to grind out ribs in the short side corners, remove the baffle mount risers and one or two other places to get my Scorpion 1.6 RRs to work.
